Bosch Security Systems has introduced a new TCP/IP Communications Module for its AutoDome Camera System.
The new module delivers advanced IP technology and features, including H.264 Main Profile compression, powerful Intelligent Video Analysis and alarm handling, and compliance with the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) standard.
The unit uses a platform of interchangeable components to allow customers to cost-effectively migrate to advanced functionality without replacing the entire camera system. Customers can easily add the new TCP/IP Communications Module to any existing AutoDome Modular pan-tilt-zoom camera, helping security personnel keep their systems updated with the latest innovations in surveillance technology.
This product uses H.264 compression for DVD-quality video that requires up to 50 percent less storage space than MPEG4-compressed video, depending on scene and quality settings.
With tri-streaming, the module can simultaneously generate two independent H.264 streams with up to 4CIF resolution at 25/30 images per second (PAL/NTSC), as well as one JPEG stream for viewing on a hand-held device. With built-in iSCSI support, the cameras can stream compressed video directly to an iSCSI RAID array for storage.
In addition the TCP/IP Communications Module's powerful dual processor can concurrently run Bosch's full-featured Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) software without compromising performance. With IVA, the unit processes video signals and automatically alerts operators to potential security risks.
The TCP/IP Communications Module also provides support for the ONVIF standard to ensure AutoDome Modular cameras will integrate seamlessly with compliant networked video products from different vendors. For installers and system integrators, this provides greater freedom in specifying a system.

Cooper Industries has introduced a range of explosion-proof connectors, which simplifies the commissioning and decommissioning of electrical equipment installed in hazardous firedamp environments, including underground mines.
The new unit is certified for use in hazardous fire-damp areas. The connector enables engineers to commission and decommission a wide range of electrical equipment in underground mines, without having to use any special tools and without having to isolate, and then disconnect the equipment. This means the installation, maintenance and repair of any electrical apparatus in firedamp areas can be carried out in a simple, safe but cost-effective manner.
The connector is designed with armoured cables, which are certified for use in ha-zardous firedamp areas. Any electrical device with power consumption up to 16A - light fittings, alarms, sensors, motors and drives - can simply be plugged in and out using the con-nector.By using the eXLink 6+1 connector, current consumers with 3 phases up to 16A, PE and 2-wire control lead can be connected by using just a small plug. Depending on the application, the customer can choose between 4-pole plus PE (eXLink 4+1) or 6-pole plus PE (eXLink 6+1) versions.
The enclosures are available in nickel-plated brass or stainless steel.

Wenzel/Xspect Solutions has introduced new Mobilescan3D Portable Laser Scanner.
With scan on location functionality, the product enables fully automatic reverse engineering and part inspection verification.
The MobileScan3D laser scanner system consists of a tripod with three interchangeable scanning heads; a 100mm - 290mm head with accuracy of ± 0.01mm; a 400mm - 570mm head with accuracy of ± 0.05mm; a 1000mm - 1800mm head with accuracy of ± 0.15mm and an average line length of 43, 185 and 270mm respectively.
This system has full 3-axis CNC capability and uses a red laser stripe to scan up to 100,000 points per second. Scanning accuracy down to 10 microns can be achieved with the system. The density of scanned lines can be controlled by programming the velocity of the A and B axes of the swivel head.
Integral thermal sensors, with environmental control, insure scanned data set accuracy. The sensor body is manufactured from carbon fibre, eliminating and thermal growth due to heat generated from the laser source. The sensor outer-casing is independently mounted, allowing isolation from the sensor optics and electronics, eliminating the potential for calibration errors caused by rough system handling during transit.

Eaton has announced a new series of compact piston-type open circuit pumps incorporating the latest technology for moderate flow, high-pressure applications.
The new product is rated at 280 bar and 2,200 rpm with a displacement of 98 cc (6.0 in3)/revolution, making it a suitable choice for a variety of mobile and stationary applications including wheel loaders, motor graders, concrete equipment, salt and sand spreaders, vacuum trucks, telehandlers, refuse trucks, rail maintenance, forestry equipment, and drill rigs.
The unit features a 15° swash plate angle that allows the pump body to be up to 27 mm (1.1 in) shorter than competitive pumps. Internal flows and valve plate timing have been optimized to realize the packaging benefits of the smaller angle without sacrificing overall pump efficiency.
Bearing design is optimized to achieve a 13,600 hour B-10 life while handling the higher internal forces created by the new design. The control piston is treated with an anti-friction coating to minimize particulate build-up and reduce response time.
The pump can be equipped with advanced technology such as a swash plate feedback sensor that makes it suited for use in an electro hydraulic environment in which the pump's operation is governed by electronic sensors and controls. Such electro hydraulic systems open many exciting opportunities to improve the productivity of a wide range of construction, agricultural, and off-road equipment.

Delta "T" Systems has introduced new Marine Weather Closure. Available in custom sizes to fit any application, the product is constructed from marine-grade 6063 aluminum housing with anodized aluminum blades.
The unit is also offered in a powder-coated finish to handle harsh marine conditions. Lightweight and energy efficient, it features 24V DC or 110V AC electric actuators, which enables users to remotely open or close the weather closure from the helm or other required locations.
Employing moisture-eliminator technology, closure filters 97% of water and salt from incoming air. Water then drains overboard through slots on face drain.
The product is suitable for offshore vessels, workboats, tugs, crew's quarters, and pump houses, it can be remotely shut in event of bad weather, violent seas, extreme wind, or for security purposes.
The unit adjusts automatically and can also be integrated into the fire suppression system. In the event of discharge, ventilation openings will automatically close, preventing the dilution of extinguishing agents.
